Sensei Ashley Harrison (4th Dan) teaches several times a week on a Monday and on a Wednesday. Ashley has been continually training in Karate for over 10 years and is CRB checked, insured & a fully qualified EKF instructor. Not only does Ashley teach Karate, but he still trains regularly with 5th Dan Sensei Chris Brooks whilst attending monthly instructor’s courses. This keeps his martial-art skills, teaching skills & fitness levels at their peak.
A major part of Karate as in many martial arts is Kata. Kata is a Japanese word for describing detailed choreographed patterns of movements against 'imaginary opponents'. These movements can then be used in segments or as a whole for self defense if ever needed.
Karate Hull understands the time limits and restraints of the modern world so has produced a collection of Kata videos that are an ideal reference and training aid, which as a member are free to access in the menbers area .
Sensei Ashley Harrison 4th Dan and Sensei Chris Brookes 5th Dan demonstrates Katas from front and rear angles at both slow and normal speeds. There is also a bunkai (real opponents)application section for every Kata.
